During late October of 2019 I completed a 3-day solo backpacking trip along Coyote Gulch in the Grand Staircase-Escalate National Monument & Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in southern Utah. Starting at the Hurricane Wash Trailhead, I traveled down Hurricane Wash until it ran into Coyote Gulch and then I followed Coyote Gulch down to a point near the confluence with the Escalante River. Altogether is was a 25 mile route that passed by several unique geological features and some great fall colors.
