Home»Gates of the Arctic National Park - Aug 2019
In August of 2019 I completed a 9 day backpacking trip in Gates of the Arctic National Park. For this trip we took a float plane out of the bush town of Bettles, Alaska and were flown into Circle Lake, which is located near the Alatna River. From Circle Lake we hiked up into the mountains toward a small group of mountains called the Arrigetch Peaks. Once in the Arrigetch, we spent several days exploring the area and then hiked back down to Circle Lake by following Arrigetch Creek.
